The Great LKS2 Debate

It is a lovely tradition at NKS that the culmination of the children’s geography unit on mountains and rivers ends with a debate on which geographical feature is best for a holiday. The children spent a lot of time researching and preparing their argument (writing to persuade) and then the whole department came together for the debate. Mrs Preston was the lucky teacher invited this time to listen to the arguments and then make a decision on where to go on holiday. This year was rather controversial as Mrs Preston chose Rivers as the winner (I am always persuaded by the winter sports). 

The children did such a good job researching and presenting their thoughts and conducting the debate following the proper rules. We saw lots of examples of Kindness to Others too as children listened carefully to each other thoughout the debate.  Well done LKS2!
