This term Apple Class will be learning all about dinosaurs! Our trip to Birdland and the Jurassic Journey will give us the chance to find out many fun facts about dinosaurs. Through our topic, we will enjoy lots of dinosaur inspired stories, art, craft, songs, investigative and imaginative opportunities.
Apple Class will continue to have PE lessons on Wednesdays. This term, the children will be dancing and moving to music.
We also have our sports week and sports races to look forward to!
We are very excited about another enjoyable term in Apple Class.
In Apple class we have daily phonics sessions focusing on learning to read and write letter sounds. We follow the Twinkl Phonics program of lessons. The program is supported by the Rhino Readers books that children will bring home to practise their reading skills at home.
The Phonics Play website has a variety of free games that you can play with your child to support blending letter sounds to read words.
During our Maths sessions we focus on embedding number knowledge up to 10. We really enjoy watching episodes of Numberblocks which is a show that teaches counting and mathematical concepts through songs and the number characters having fun adventures.
Numberblocks is available to watch on the BBC iPlayer if you would like to watch episodes together with your child.
